"It's been two months
since the dark tunnels of the underworld came for Nikki Beckett. That
night, Nikki's boyfriend, Jack, made the ultimate sacrifice and took her
place in the Everneath for eternity - a debt that should have been
hers. Every night Jack appears in her dreams, lost and confused, and
wasting away. All Nikki wants is to save him before it's too late, but
no matter how hard she tries to reach for his hand, she can never find
it.
Desperate for answers, Nikki turns to Cole, the immortal bad boy
who wants to make her his Queen - and the one person least likely to
help. But it seems Nikki has touched his heart, and surprisingly, Cole
agrees to help in the only way he can - by taking Nikki to the Everneath
himself.
As they descend into the heart of the Everneath Nikki and
Cole discover that their journey will be more difficult than they'd
anticipated, and more deadly. Nikki vows to stop at nothing to save Jack
- even if it means making an incredible sacrifice of her own…" taken from Goodreads
Ever since I read Everneath this year, I've been obsessing over when I would get to read the next part to this epic story. I found it completely impossible to put down and read the book in just two sittings. Just reading the blurb for book 2 and looking at the cover has me anxious for its arrival, could it go any slower???!

"Iris Dancy’s free-spirited mum has left for Tunisia, her dad’s rarely sober and her brother’s determined to fight anyone with a pair of fists.
When a family of travellers move into the overgrown paddock overnight, her dad looks set to finally lose it. Gypsies are parasites he says, but Iris is intrigued. As her dad plans to evict the travelling family, Iris makes friends with their teenage son. Trick Deran is a bare knuckle boxer who says he’s done with fighting, but is he telling the truth?
When tools go missing from the shed, the travellers are the first suspects. Iris’s brother, Sam, warns her to stay away from Trick; he’s dangerous, but Iris can no longer blindly follow her brother’s advice. He’s got secrets of his own, and she’s not sure he can be trusted himself.
Infinite Sky is a family story about betrayal and loyalty, and love." taken from Goodreads
I have to say this is not one of my usual reads that I'm drawn to, but this one just has that something about it. This totally has a Romeo & Juliet sound to me, but with a completely contemporary twist to it. I'm really interested to see how it pans out!!

I've been a fan of Cassandra Clare for many years now, but the release of the first of The Infernal Devices books multiplied my fanship, basically making me a MEGA fangirl. Although part of me can't wait to read the conclusion to this series, I will be devastated to lose this world and everyone in it.

Iphigenia Laurus, or Gene, the daughter of a noble family, is uncomfortable in corsets and crinoline, and prefers climbing trees to debutante balls. Micah Grey, a runaway living on the streets, joins the circus as an aerialist's apprentice and soon becomes the circus’s rising star.
But Gene and Micah have balancing acts of their own to perform, and a secret in their blood that could unlock the mysteries of Ellada"

This has made her an outsider in the sleepy English town of Sorry-in-the-Vale, but she doesn't complain. She runs the school newspaper and keeps to herself for the most part - until disturbing events begin to happen. There has been screaming in the woods and the dark, abandoned manor on the hill overlooking the town has lit up for the first time in 10 years. The Lynburn family, who ruled the town a generation ago and who all left without warning, have returned. As Kami starts to investigate for the paper, she finds out that the town she has loved all her life is hiding a multitude of secrets- and a murderer- and the key to it all just might be the boy in her head. The boy who everyone thought was imaginary may be real...and he may be dangerous." taken from Amazon

It's 1920s New York City. It's flappers and Follies, jazz and gin. It's after the war but before the depression. And for certain group of bright young things it's the opportunity to party like never before. For Evie O'Neill, it's escape. She's never fit in in small town Ohio and when she causes yet another scandal, she's shipped off to stay with an uncle in the big city. But far from being exile, this is exactly what she's always wanted: the chance to show how thoroughly modern and incredibly daring she can be. But New York City isn't about just jazz babies and follies girls. It has a darker side. Young women are being murdered across the city. And these aren't crimes of passion. They're gruesome. They're planned. They bear a strange resemblance to an obscure group of tarot cards. And the New York City police can't solve them alone. Evie wasn't just escaping the stifling life of Ohio, she was running from the knowledge of what she could do. She has a secret. A mysterious power that could help catch the killer - if he doesn't catch her first.
I am a BIG fan of books set in the past. I've already read some of Libba's work (which was also historically set) and adored it. I can't wait to see what this story has in store for me.......

Thirty-five beautiful girls. Thirty-five beautiful rivals…
It’s the chance of a lifetime and 17-year-old America Singer should feel lucky. She has been chosen for The Selection, a reality TV lottery in which the special few compete for gorgeous Prince Maxon's love.
Swept up in a world of elaborate gowns, glittering jewels and decadent feasts, America is living a new and glamorous life. And the prince takes a special interest in her, much to the outrage of the others.
Rivalry within The Selection is fierce and not all of the girls are prepared to play by the rules. But what they don’t know is that America has a secret – one which could throw the whole competition… and change her life forever.
I've known about this for a little while, but its impending release is definitely getting me more and more eager to read it. This does sound somewhat fairy tale like in that the girls are competing for a prince, but with the very current reality TV twist to it, making it sound a whole new twist. I really want to see how this is done & hope it can thoroughly enthral me!!

"A lush, historical novel about the secretive Darlingtons of Wentworth Hall! The prettiest people often have the ugliest secrets… Eighteen-year-old Maggie Darlington has turned into an entirely different person. The once spirited teen is now passive and reserved. A change Lord and Lady Darlington can’t help but be grateful for. It’s 1912, and the Darlingtons of Wentworth Hall have more than just the extensive grounds to maintain. As one of Britain’s most elite families, they need to keep up appearances that things are as they have always been…even as their carefully constructed faĆade rapidly comes undone. Maggie has a secret. And she’s not the only one…the handsome groom Michael, the beautiful new French nanny Therese, the Darlingtons’ teenage houseguests Teddy and Jessica, and even Maggie’s younger sister Lila are all hiding something. Passion, betrayal, heartache, and whispered declarations of love take place under the Darlingtons’ massive roof. And one of these secrets has the power to ruin the Darlingtons forever. When scandalous satires start appearing in the newspaper with details that closely mirror the lives of the Darlingtons, everyone is looking over their shoulder, worrying their scandal will be next. Because at Wentworth Hall, nothing stays secret for long"
I only recently found out about this one, but was instantly excited for it. I am a HUGE fan of all things Downton Abbey, Upstairs Downstairs, you get my drift so getting this kind of story but for the YA market is so beyond thrilling for me. This can not come soon enough!!!

"In a future world, Vampires reign. Humans are blood cattle. And one girl will search for the key to save humanity.
Allison Sekemoto survives in the Fringe, the outermost circle of a vampire city. By day, she and her crew scavenge for food. By night, any one of them could be eaten.
Some days, all that drives Allie is her hatred of them. The vampires who keep humans as blood cattle. Until the night Allie herself is attacked—and given the ultimate choice. Die or become one of the monsters.
Faced with her own mortality, Allie becomes what she despises most. To survive, she must learn the rules of being immortal, including the most important: go long enough without human blood, and you will go mad.
Then Allie is forced to flee into the unknown, outside her city walls. There she joins a ragged band of humans who are seeking a legend—a possible cure to the disease that killed off most of humankind and created the rabids, the mindless creatures who threaten humans and vampires alike.
But it isn't easy to pass for human. Especially not around Zeke, who might see past the monster inside her. And Allie soon must decide what—and who—is worth dying for"
I've heard lots of amazing stuff about Julie's books recently, but as I often am late - I'm still to read and love her work. This one though I am particularly excited to read. It has all my favourite aspects - Dystopian, Vampires, Paranormal, Romance - Just wait to hear me joining this bandwagon!!!!

"They say I'm evil. The police. The newspapers. The girls from school who shake their heads on the six o’clock news and say they always knew there was something not quite right about me. And everyone believes it. Including you. But you don't know. You don't know who I used to be.
Who I could have been.
Awaiting trial at Archway Young Offenders Institution, Emily Koll is going to tell her side of the story for the first time.
Heart-Shaped Bruise is a compulsive and moving novel about infamy, identity and how far a person might go to seek revenge."
This is definitely different, to what I would typically pick up off the shelves, but this has me very intrigued. I am really interested to read something from the perspective of a possible villain. I want to see how my head will deal with being in that mind set, you never know I may find my calling as a super villain!!!

This couldn't be more made for me if it tried. Sounds really exciting and enthralling too, plus we don't have long to wait for it either!!!

"Kate may have defeated her boyfriend's nemesis, showing off her sword skills in the process, but Vincent is sure that she will be at risk as long as they stay together. What's more, it's becoming clear that their relationship might prevent him from fulfilling his true purpose: saving the lives of others.
They might have the romance of the century, but will that be enough?"
I only recently read the first of these books 'Die For Me' Its safe to say that I have STRONG feelings for these books already and I am anxiously anticpating the next part. The title says a lot for me too - I fear some heartbreak!!!!
